The day of the surgery, I was very nervous, but the doctor and his assistant made me feel right at home, and they explained the process every step of the way. They were very gentle, and they put me in a very comfortable massaging dental chair and gave me an iPod to listen to during the procedure (although I would recommend bringing your own as their music selection is a bit limited).
The second day I came back for the other half of the procedure, and I actually jumped into the chair because I was not scared at all, and very much ready for the procedure. Everything went very smoothly, and I am now healing very quickly. The Laser Gum Surgery Center took the time to call me on Friday night after hours to follow up with me and make sure everything was OK. I was VERY impressed with the fact that my dentist personally took the time to call me and make sure I was OK.
For anyone considering laser gum surgery, I would highly recommend it. The recovery time is so quick; I was only in minor discomfort for a few hours after the surgery and I am on day 3, feeling A-OK! The only part I didn’t like was all the numbing they have to do to your mouth, but that’s what made the whole operation pain-less, so it’s just a minor inconvenience.
